Heading to Indonesia ...God-willng that is!

Hello everyone!

I'm learning a lot lately about saying God-willing with everything I do! Truly like James says, ' you don't even know what will happen tomorrow'. So I say this with God's will in mind and leaving it in His hands, knowing things could change at any moment! I am continuing to have a peace about not going on the World Race. For whatever reason, God knows it and will make it clear to me in time.
Right now I am planning on leaving for Indonesia around mid-June to work a few months with an organization that shares the gospel with an unreached Muslim people group. This is not a random pick in the dark, before World Race I was thinking about going there with a good friend of mine. Well, she just left a couple weeks ago for Indonesia and God-willing I hope to join her! After going to Sudan last year to see a Muslim culture at hand and taking a course on Islam last fall, they a people dear to my heart.

Sudan trip 2005

And out of gracious hearts of the staff at AIM and World Race, they will be donating a large portion of the money I raised to this organization for Indonesia. This was one of my biggest concerns when I talked to the staff about not going; that the support I raised from those of you who gave would not be transferred, but thanks to God who

worked it out! AIM is a great organization and their staff members are people who love the Lord and are working their hearts out for Him to get His people out on the field! I pray ya'll continue to do mighty things!

I want to say THANK YOU to each one of you who have subscribed to this blog and have been following me and praying for me on this journey! Your constant encouragement has also been a blessing. It's a journey I'm still on but the path has taken a different direction. I know God has given me a heart for the nations and TO GO, so I will keep you updated when doors become open and I am able to go! Each one of you means so much to me and I'd love to sit with you if you are in Austin or hear from you over email about what's going on in your life and how I can pray for you!

I hope to make a new blog when this one shuts down to keep everyone posted! My contact information is below:
The Road Stops Here

Oh where do I begin....honestly I really dread writing this post! This post comes to you with much sadness and heartache! I will not be going on the world race. What a shock huh? It has been a shock for me, since world race has been my life for the last 3 months! It is crazy to plan and plan for something and then see it die. It was a very hard decision for me to make. But I have to also step out in faith and let it go and I hate that is so late in the game but it's where I believe God is leading me. Something inside of me just wouldn't let me have peace about it. Something wasn't right and I do not want to be sent anywhere in this world with that feeling. I sought counsel from some godly people and friends and took sometime to pray and even a week off to not think about it and this is what lead me to make this decision.
I'm thankful though that this God is in this and is going to take care of me! It's scary because I do not know what is going to happen tomorrow and it is making me really seek Him!
Please know that I am SO THANKFUL for all the encouragement and support each of you have given me along the way! I know that I am a different person because of this and God has already taught me to much within the last 3 months! I am so sorry if this is disappointing to you.....as it is hard to me to let you down!

On the other hand, God-willing, I hope to join a friend of mine soon in Indonesia for a few months if the details and circumstances work out.......to minister to a Muslim people group there, which maybe where God was leading me all along!
Also, the world race staff is meeting this week to decide on how to release the funds I have raised so far, so if you have supported me financially I will let you know soon about this!

So, the journey is not over! I KNOW FOR SURE God has given me a heart for the nations and to go....so if you think of me please pray that God will give me His peace and favor as he unfolds His plans for me!

With much love,
Amy
Back from Training Camp.....

Hello everyone! I just got back from 10 days of training camp for The World Race in Gainesville, GA! The one word I would use to describe it is
INTENSE! To be honest it really made me realize I really had no idea what I was getting myself into! It was a roller coaster of emotions and some deep soul searching as we spent many hours in prayer, worship and team building. We had the privilege of having extraordinary speakers from all over the country come speak to us to get us ready for the intensity of it all!
I realize now we are marching into battle....a serious war is taking place and I need to take seriously this adventure I'm embarking on! Much preparation and discipline is needed, along with dying to self and trusting God with my whole life! Something that has been very hard for me the last 10 days!

We spent the first night sleeping outside in tents in 30 degree weather. I woke up about every hour to my entire body shaking, I have never been so cold in my life. And because it was so cold no one took showers until 5 days later when we camped in a state park for one night where there were hot showers available. Wow did that feel good! But by the end of the training I really started to get used the fact that I might have to go a week without washing my hair too! HAHA!!

But the bathing was the least of my concern....I fear I might be going without truly being burden and broken for the lost people of this world! I realized during training I have let fear and doubt captivate me and consume me to the point that I am left emotionless to the cause that got me going on The World Race in the first place!

So if you think of me...please pray for peace to flood me and a deep burden to penetrate my heart for the nations!

Thank you to those of you that prayed for me during training camp, I needed it! I was one of the hardest weeks in my life! And thanks to those that have supported me finanically, I truly appreciate it....I hope to reach $6500 by the first part of May!

Email me and let me know how I can be praying for you!!!

I'm Taking the Plunge!

	WELCOME to The World Race!

	Dear Family & Friends:

God has given my heart a desire to serve Him in forgein missions! So I will be leaving June 6, 2007 with The World Race on an adventure to minister to the lost and broken-hearted in eleven countries in eleven months!

My team of 40 will partner with local ministries and native believer's in each country doing various activities from working in orphanges, discipling new believers, sharing with the lost and whatever else the Lord leads us to do!

This opportunity in my life is an answer to prayer because I began praying back in the summer of 2006 for a foreign missions trip that would keep me moving!! And I will definitely keep moving on this trip, carrying everything I own on my back, our team with travel cheaply and light staying in tents and among the people where we are invited!

Here's 3 ways you can partner with me:

1) PRAYER -

Emotionally - that I would not let my emotions control me, laying all anxiety and control over to Jesus.

Physically - I have asthma, that I wouldn't have any major problelms breathing while I'm gone and that I would be able to become physically fit and ready for those challenges.

Spiritually - that I would walk close to God and listen for His voice to discern His will and use for me.

Mentally - that I would be prepared and ready with the knowledge & wisdom of His word implanted on my heart.

2) FINANCIAL SUPPORT - I must raise $13,000 for The World Race, which turns out to be $1182/month in each country and this includes airfare to all the countries that we will need to fly to! I need to raise half of it by mid- May with the other half made in pledges for the remaining amount. Whether you give $5 or $100 your contribution is greatlly appreciated! **Click on
Support Me** located to the left, to send your contribution online!

KNOW THIS! - your prayer & financial support is not just to help me but will make an eternal difference in the Kingdom of God, how awesome is that!

3) SHARE THIS WITH OTHERS - When you hear about awesome and exciting things in your life, the first thing you want to do is share it with others. The World Race is a great and brand new ministry that I believe will open the eyes of the ones that get to go and those who get to partner along with them and hear their stories! Please tell others about The World Race and my blog site: amywilson.theworldrace.org

****Please SUBSCRIBE to my blog, as their will be many updates, starting now and until I get back in April 2008 with photos and what we are doing in the countries we are ministring in!****

Countries we will be ministring in:

	South Africa,

	Swaziland,

	Botswanna,

	Mozambique,

	Tanzania,

	Kenya,

	Croatia,

	Ukraine,

	Russia,

	India &

	China.

My verse to claim for the next year:

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God. - 2 Corinthians 2:14-17
